Expectations to be Above the B.A.R.

2018-2019 Dallas County High School Robotics Team Rules

The following is an overview of the rules, requirements, and disciplinary actions for all members of the Dallas County High School Robotics Team for 2016-2017 school year. Students and their parents and/or guardians will sign the agreement, which can be found on last page.

Rules and Requirements for all DCHS Robotics Team Members:

  1. The member must maintain a ‘C’ AVERAGE.

  2. The member may not be suspended for school for any reason.

  3. The member must be respectful and courteous towards the other members of the team and sponsors at all times.

  4.  The member must maintain a respectable and sportsman-like behavior at all times.

  5. The member must participate in all fundraising events. If the member does not participate, it is the responsible of the parent to pay for all items.

  6. Team members must follow dress code.

  7. If a team member is caught stealing, the member will be dismissed form the Robotics Team immediately.

 

Rules and Requirements for practices:

  1. All team members are expected to attend all practices.

  2. The member must arrive at practice on time. A parent of other designated person must pick up their child no later than fifteen minutes after practice has ended.

  3. All practices are closed. There will be no visitors.

  4. If a member leaves a designated area during practice without telling one of the sponsors, then he or she will be dismissed from the Robotics Team.

  5. All members are expected to contribute to the team. If a member is continuously lazy or not helping, then he or she will be dismissed from the team.

  6. Missed Practices/ Consequences

*Missed practices- The team member can miss no more than two practices. If a team member misses three practices, then the member will be dismissed from the Robotics Team.
